Strategic Planning and Masterplanning
G&J were commissioned to undertake Strategic Planning duties for Salisbury Cathedral (including The Close buildings) in 2007. We produced the Strategic Plan for the period 2007-2015, for use as a live document to support the ongoing future thinking of the Dean and Chapter.
It defined Mission, Vision, Values and Key Objectives and went onto Brief in Outline a portfolio of projects with budget costings emanating from the work, that would deliver the Vision in real terms.
From 2016, Wendy James is serving as a member on the Cathedral’s Fabric Advisory Committee.
In 2012 we were invited to form part of a team as museum experts, to advise the National Palace Museum, Taipei, Taiwan, on the expansion of the site to accommodate soaring visitor numbers.
Having assisted the team in securing the work, G&J developed outlines for Strategic Planning Workshops, incorporating review of the Mission and Vision, and looking forward to the complex Briefing with a view to Masterplanning and developing a portfolio of associated major capital project works.
The whole of the expansion works are currently under review and our work remains WIP.
